Name: HAWADS (Houghton and Wyton Amateur Dramatic Society)
This is a fun group of people aged 18 upwards who do not mind making a fool of themselves for village entertainment!! One or two productions are put on each year, eg beginning of July and mid-December and a social evening is held before each production so that anyone in the village can come along and offer to be involved. As well as acting we always need help with costumes, scenery painting and making props, food etc. Theatre trips are also organized socially.

Name: Houghton and Wyton Allotments and Leisure Gardeners Association (H&WA&LGA)
In July of 2008 a small group of 6 of us met up in a pub to discuss having an allotment. From then we worked at getting a plot of land and in Sept 2008 we became H&WA&LGA. Affiliated with the National Association, you do not have to have an allotment to join and there are many benefits. It is £5.00 to join and you DO NOT have to live in the parish. You get a discount of 40 per cent off all Kings Seeds, a quarterly news letter, legal advice and help. If you would like to register an interest in having an allotment when they become available, please contact Mandy. Allotments are only available to parishioners.
